Why They Matter So Much
There are certain teachers who stay with us long after the classroom doors close. Not because of a test score or a report card—but because of how they made us feel.
When I think about Teacher Appreciation, a few faces instantly come to mind.
The Teacher Who Taught Us to Relax
In first grade, I had Mrs. Chris. I don’t remember worksheets, but I do remember laying on the floor as a class while she guided us through relaxation exercises. At an age when everything felt big and overwhelming, she taught us how to slow down. Looking back, that was such a gift—especially for a room full of six-year-olds still learning how to navigate the world.
The Teacher Who Made Learning Fun
By sixth grade, learning took on a whole new shape thanks to Mr. Laprezioso, or Mr. “L” as we all called him. He had a way of turning lessons into something fun, engaging, and memorable. He didn’t just teach the material—he made us want to learn it. That joy stuck with me, and it’s a reminder of how powerful enthusiasm can be in the classroom.

The Teachers Who Made Learning Unforgettable
High school brought its own unforgettable moments. There was my science teacher who demonstrated a cloud forming inside a pressurized flask—followed by a cork shooting across the classroom, narrowly missing a few students’ heads. It was equal parts terrifying and amazing, and I guarantee no one in that room forgot that lesson.
Then there was my math teacher. Geometry didn’t come easily to me, but he spent countless hours at his desk patiently explaining concepts until they finally clicked. He didn’t rush. He didn’t give up. He made sure I understood.
Why Teacher Appreciation Matters
These teachers didn’t just teach subjects—they shaped confidence, curiosity, and resilience. They showed up in different ways, but each one made a lasting impact.
That’s what Teacher Appreciation is really about: recognizing the moments that often go unseen. The extra time. The creativity. The care.
A Small Thank You That Feels Big
When I created my Teacher Appreciation CAN, I wanted it to reflect that same feeling—something thoughtful, unexpected, and joyful. A small gesture that says, “I see you. I appreciate you. What you do matters.”
Inside the CAN is a fun surprise experience, because teachers deserve more than another mug or card. They deserve a moment that makes them smile, laugh, and feel genuinely celebrated.
Whether it’s for Teacher Appreciation Week, the end of the school year, or just because—sometimes the simplest “thank you” can mean the most.
Here’s to the Teachers We’ll Never Forget
If you’re lucky, you can name at least one teacher who changed your life. And if you can—this is your reminder to thank them. Because long after the lessons fade, the impact remains.
A Thoughtful Way to Say Thank You
Teachers give so much of themselves—often in ways we don’t fully realize until years later. A simple thank-you can mean the world, especially when it feels thoughtful and unexpected.
If you’re looking for a fun and meaningful way to show appreciation, my Teacher Appreciation CAN was created with those unforgettable teachers in mind. It’s a small gift with a big impact—sealed, surprising, and designed to make teachers feel truly seen and celebrated.
Because sometimes the best gifts aren’t about what’s inside…
they’re about the gratitude behind them.
