Never under estimate the power of a simple note.
Today is Valentine’s day. A day to celebrate love. I was reminded of a note that I received when I was in fifth grade. I found the note on my desk after recess. To this day, after all these years, I still don’t know for sure who wrote the note. It had I love written in the middle of the paper and had arrows pointing the word, you that was written on the top and sides of the paper. I would take the note out and read it every once in a while. I still remember how special it made me feel, someone loved me.
Don’t under estimate the power of a simple note. Letting someone know that you care about them is very important. All it took was a note from an unidentified admirer for me to feel like I was the most special person in my fifth grade class.
You might not have a sweetheart to celebrate with this Valentine’s day, but I bet you have people in your life who you love and care about. Why not send them a note. Let them know how much they mean to you. There is a saying that I have heard, “If you want to be blessed, you have to be blessable.” In other words if you are longing for someone to be your Valentine… be someone’s Valentine. The amazing thing about genuine love is that when you give it away it multiplies.
